Constant BZZZZ with MediaBridge

Since day one my Dice MediaBridge has had ALOT of constant BZZZZZ static. This isnt the usual high pitched whine sound that matches the engine RPM. This is a literal BZZZ sound.

I removed the USB and line out (3.5mm) cables and I still get the BZZZ. The sound starts as soon as you switch inputs to the MediaBridge, and never goes away. The only way it stops is when you disconnect the wide interface cable from the actual mediabridge (of course)

Is there any fix to this? Or is the MediaBridge really trash.

No such problem with mine

I installed a Audiovox Dice Mediabridge in my 2005 this weekend. No buzz in mine.

I tried the Mediabridge for a few weeks. Really crappy sound quality from both Audio streaming and Phone Calls.

I returned it and purchased the GROM Unit. Very please with it so far.. Not perfect but works better with my Android phone.

I installed my Mediabridge today with crystal-clear audio.

Likely your cable routing and/or the cable itself. Could be pinched...that would do it. Buzz sounds to me like a partial short of some sort.

Good luck!

I also have a buzzz sound with my mediabridge 1500. But it goes buzzz....buzzzzz....buzzz etc. Maybe it is a bad unit. Going to disconnect everything and reconnect to see if that will solve the problem.

I just got one and only hooked it up temporarily to see if there was buzzing and it works great. I'll be routing the cable later this weekend so we shall see how that goes.
