Tweeters installation
Hello, I have a MC '07 with the BOOST Radio,
I would like to install tweeters in the A-pillars, does anyone knows how these are connected to the loom?
Any photos, would help a lot..

There is no wiring for A-pillar tweeters in a non-HIFI vehicle. The *main* vehicle harness is different.
Easiest thing would be to put the tweeters in the door.
The only alternative is to tap the wiring at X9331 and run wires up to the A-pillar.

There are a lot more quesitons to be answered to help you out on this.
1. are you changing all the speakers in the car?
2. are you adding an amp?
3. if you are not changing/adding the above are you only wanting to add tweeters and why?
Answer these and we can help you out with much better answers.

Hello,
First I would like to install the tweeters,to improve the quality of the sound.
If the result does not satisfies me, I'll change the speakers with better quality, like JVC.
I am not interested in installing an amplifier, I want better quality in the sound not loudness.

To avoid this, you'd need add a series coil to the "mid/woofer" combo in the door. You'd HAVE to add series capacitor to the tweeter anyway - you can't run the tweeter full range. The HU won't deliver enough power to burn a decent tweeter, but the distortion caused by asking the tweeter to produce a full range signal would far outweigh any benefits of adding it in the first place. It is possible that the inductive rise in the mid/woofer is enough that if you crossed the tweeter over high enough you wouldn't need a series coil on the mid/woofer, but you'd have to look at the impedance curve of the combined pair to know for sure.
Of course, by the time you've done all that, you'd have spent enough time, effort, and money that you'd be better off looking into a more comprehensive upgrade.

$250 is a tough budget to do anything substantial with. That pretty much limits you to replacing just speakers. The problem is that the factory HU is very low power (about 8W/channel into the 2ohm factory load (see the sticky MINI Audio Basics), and the factory speakers are actually pretty well optimized for efficiency. There is a trade off between bandwidth (frequency response range) and efficiency, so if you want better frequency response range you are going to have to give up volume, and vice versa, unless you add an amplifier. This is complicated by the fact that a standard 4ohm aftermarket speaker will cut your available power in half. There is just no way around any of this unless you add an amp.
If you are limited to the $250, you could look at putting a 3.5 coax in the mid location and a 6" coax in the door. Two 4ohm sets in parallel will keep you at 2ohms and maintain your full 8 watts. You will get some terrible comb filtering due to the complete overlap in two sets of speakers, but this is no different than the existing factory setup and will at least have the benefit of adding tweeters with some better high freq response.
My recommendation, though, would be to save your $250 and wait until you can increase your budget - your actual value/improvement for your $250 doing the above will be quite low.
