R56- Use MFSW with Parrot CK3100

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with my little problem. I have searched this site and mini2.com trying to find the answer but couldn't.

I recently purchased a Parrot CK3100 kit and the MFSW adapter from newministuff.com, got it all installed lastnight and having issues getting the MFSW to work.

currenty it does the following:

Standby mode:
Voice command button - initiates voice command
Phone Button - nothing
volume buttons - nothing (turns radio up and down)

Receiving call mode:
Voice Command button - nothing
phone button - terminates the call
volume - nothing

During call mode:
voice command button - nothing
phone button - hang up call
volume buttons - nothing

This doesn't seem correct, especially since I cannot figure out how to answer a call from the MFSW.

Can someone please provide some instructions on how it "should" work?

Edit: 2007 Cooper S, Hi-Fi Stereo, no aftermarket modifications with the exception of a dealer installed iPod hook up in the compartment above the glove box.

Welcome to NAM.

You will find a lot of threads where people have looked at them (i.e. more than 71 views) and not responded. Especially when the title of the thread is as vague as yours is. by adding Parrot before the CK3100 in the title would have reduced the views most likely.

Another reason for the lack of responses could be that there is very little information about your set up in you post. I.E. we need to know the year and model of car, what audio system you have, Base, HiFi, H/K and if there has been any aftermarket additions to the audio system. Also the exact part numbers from the Parrot equipment would also be useful to us. so with all this information I can actually help you, without it i would have no idea where to start explaining what could be wrong or where to start trouble shooting.

Schatzy: Thanks for the feedback, I updated my original post with a little more information, hopefully someone can help.

One thing I learned to day is that the NewMiniStuff adapter will not work properly on 2nd gen MINI's with Comfort Access. This is stated on the newministuff website

So if you have Comfort Access that may be part of your problem. and if you do have comfort access you may want to call Mike at newministuff and find out what parts don't work properly.

Let me know if you have comfort access.

I have tried to contact Mike via Email but he hasn't responded.

Also I'm not sure if I have comfort access, how would I tell?

Edit: Never mind, i just looked it up, I don't have comfort access on the R56.

I can not find an instruction manual for download on newministuff so i can not look to see how or where it is added to the car. would it be possible for you to send me a copy via e-mail?

We are a helpful crew here but I am not sure to many have installed this item as of yet.

If i can find out where the harness plugs in hopefully i can figure out what might be wrong
