could i splice into those wires where the ipod interface plugs in and have them both work?

if not im pulling the ipod interface out and getting the auxilary input. please chime in anyone!

 

Either of those will work, and you can leave the factory iPod interface in place. The aux input and iPod interface use different connections at the back of the radio. They can be used at the same time.
