Netflix?

Waiting to receive my new y cable from the dealership (have the old larger one that doesn't work), and was wondering shouldn't we be able to get video for anything that is available on the iPhone?? I ask because if I can watch internet TV then shouldn't I also be able to get the Netflix app and stream movies through the phone into the speedometer display???

cheers.

Yes I was thinking of it as a replacement DVD player for the rear seat passenger. In the alternative we're thinking of an iPad for the rear seat passenger. Thanks.

And not to upset anyone but if it can be seen by the driver while moving it is illegal in ALL 50 States. Just an FYI in case a LEO stops you.

Not upset at all, thanks.

What's got me to thinking about this (other than saving in a DVD player) is this youtube video wherein a fellow appears to be picking up TV broadcase over the internet??

Those TV broadcasts are not from the internet. In much of Europe you can get your car with a TV tuner built in. And yes watch TV when the car is NOT moving. Most countries (but not all) it must automatically disable when the car is moving.

Thanks for all of the information folks... I was just thinking out loud about the possibilities of streaming stuff to the screen so the passengers could watch something. Looks like the iPad option is probably best for people (other than the driver) to watch stuff while traveling.

Regards to all.
