Navigation & Audio Solution to adding more power to the factory Stereo

Good question I do not know if the amp turns on.I assume is on since I hooked up all the wires including the remote turn on. I don't hear any sound coming from the amp to know for sure if is on or not, does not have any light on it either .This alpine ktp445 amp is called a booster amp which takes the amplified signal from the head unit and adds more juice in it.
I really want to keep the head unit that is why I bought it .I spent several hours browsing for solution but so far I don't have one.I might try to hook it up in my garage with another head unit and a speaker to see if works or not.
Thanks

Well, I hooked up the amp with a another head unit on my bench .Here is the trick if for some reason after the you finished the wiring you disconnect and, reconnect the ground wire from the amp it will not work .If you wait 30 sec.and than reconnect the ground it will.
I remember playing with the ground wire to find the right place, probably that is what messed me up.
For whoever want to keep the head unit and add some more power to it without breaking the bank this will do it Alpine ktp-445 (4X45 rms ).
