iPad iPhone feedback when connected -help!

When I connect my iPad or iPhone into the MINI Y cable, I get a lot of feedback. Hissing and whistling.
  • I tried another griffin cable...same thing!
  • I tried to hook them both up by ONLY a headphone type cable...same thing.
  • Put both devices in airplane mode to see if it was the 3G...same thing.
  • My INNO satellite radio doesn't do this.
  • My 1st Gen Itouch doesn't do this either.

I have the Harmon Kardon, NO NAV radio.

Anyone else have this issue with IPhone or iPad?

Surely I am not the ONLY person having this issue!

I tried the following noise reduction cable and it Does eliminate the noise, ALTHOUGH, it makes the iPhone now sound terrible. Almost transistor radio quality...maybe not that bad, but it seriously degrades the sound.

Does ANYONE have a solution?

Sounds like you might have a missing ground on the AUX input. That would cause this problem although it should (but not always) show the problem on all devices hooked up to the AUX input.

Questions

How do you have your INNO hooked up to the audio system?

And are you using the same cable for the iPhone and iTouch?

iPad is still not working properly, it thinks is a bad output.

iPhone 4S is working flawlessly!

I had as similar problem she I upgraded to an iPhone 4. The phone is causing the feedback. I solved this by using a Fiio brand cable that connects the Aux port to the dock connector port, rather than the headphone port. It's here:

The sound quality is great, but it does eliminate the ability to use the phone through the radio (a connection through the dock port cuts off the mic on the phone). You can still use the phone with via bluetooth.
