At the recent MacWorld Expo in San Francisco Dension makers of the ICE-Link brought out their new Cradle for the iPod. Representatives at Dension told me, via email this last week, it will be available to the public in the next 2-3 months and to keep an eye on their website. Check out the image

Did they tell you if the ICE-link allow for the iPod info to display on the stock unit?

 

They did not say, you can contact them at the above link and ask.

 

Does this mean that there will no longer be a need to connect the Ipod from the dock and connecter AND the headphone jack? This is exactly what I'm looking for if so.

 

As far as I know, what you see is what you need. The current holder or cradle is made by Pro-Clip USA just as their accessory that goes on the down tube is made by Pro-Clip USA as well. This looks to be Dension's creation from customer comments.

 

Will you be able to just buy the cradle or does it only come with the ICE-link?
