iPod/iPhone Install with HK and Nav - Please Help a new MINI member

So I've spent a number of hours looking for help and I'm at the point of asking for help.

I have the pleasure of becoming a 2nd owner of a 2005 S Convertible and it has the HK system and the navigation.

Has anyone had success installing either DICE, ISimple or something else to get the iPod/iPhone to work?

I'm at the point of giving up or possibly using the $40 aux but I'm not sure that would work either.

Aux will work. There is also an OEM iPod adapter but it is primitive and very limited in function.

DICE, iSimple, and similar systems are not compatible with navigation. They interfere with the Nav screen and render the navigation function unusable.

The only adapter that integrates well with Nav is the Intravee II. Currently it is only available through a vendor in the UK (http://www.toysinyourcar.com/acatalo..._intravee.html). It is rather expensive because it also requires a separate adapter from Alpine.

Thanks rkw.

My other thought is replacing the main unit that includes one with an Ipod usb. I bet that wouldn't work with the nav either?

I'm in the same boat. I have the factory nav, Bluetooth,HK, and iPod adapter but I want to use pandora but can't at this point. I was looking at newministuff.com and they have a bunch of adapters for aftermarket radios to interface with steering wheel controls, nav etc. I want to use an aftermarket alpine radio but the nav adapter says it won't work with the HK. I haven't gotten around to it yet but I was going to email them and see if they have a solution to make everything work. The down side is on top of the stero price I'm looking at about $300 in just adapters to get the silly thing to play nice with everything.
