Does that box have cubic air space for that particualr sub, or do they just refer you that sub becuase it fits in there?

 

Parts Express isnt a "this'll fit" kinda company but I honestly have no idea if this is a sealed or ported enclosure. I can tell you that small subs generally like small enclosure and this seams just about right for most subs this size.... for 10 bucks and a sub i already have, I'm giving it a shot :smile:

I think they recommend that 8" speaker because they sell that brand. Possibly because they need to move them or have a high profit margin in them.
I've never heard of them.
One thing that is true, you get what you pay for when it comes to audio. I would look around town and buy a better quality 8" sub when you see what the pre-fab box is like.
