I am looking for an alternative to buying the Aux input kit from the dealer(they are jerks, and don't deserve more of my money)...I want to see if I can get one from Alpine. Does anybody know the model # for the stock head unit(CD Player), or have information to help me out? I have read many of the related threads in this forum, but havent found any info on this particular subject.

Try contacting http://www.newministuff.co.uk. They carry aux adapters for all of the MINI models and have lots of experience and ship internationally at reasonable rates. Just be sure to give them as much info as possible on the head unit you plan to use, as well as info on your car - model, year, etc.
