2011 MCS Sirius ESN Radio ID

Did a search for this and still can't find answer. I have 2011 MCS without mini connect just sirius. I can't locate the ESN or Radio ID anywhere. Anyone know how to locate. I can't tune to channel 0 or channel 1 since Sirius did Channel update. Also can't display ENS on channel 180. anyone??

Go into Satellite radio, press the Cat button then select a channel, you should then be able to scroll down after the 800 phone number and see the ESN number.

Hopefully this works as I don't have Sirius.

Press and hold the SAT button until "call sirius" and "Phone: 1-888-539-SIRUS" is displayed. Use right hand side rotary **** of radio to scroll down and display "ESN:" of Sirius receiver.

this is driving me nuts. I have tried all of the above and nothing is working. I go to categories, select a station. station info is displayed, if I scroll I see what is currently playing on the station but no phone or ESN... also press and hold SAT does not do anything either. strange

It's got to be on there somewhere! I remember seeing it one time in a loaner car...It could even be in the "MENU" or the musical note if you haven't tried those.

If you are handy you could pull up the passenger seat and look at the ID number on the actual tuner itself.

Could there be a card with the ID in your user manual package?

I don't remember, but I thought it just showed up when my MA hit the Sat button when she was going through showing me the features.

And then I was lazy for the first 2 weeks about activating, and then finally went out to try to do it. I turned on the Sat and I was getting reception. So I guess my dealer activated for me and it turned on after I took it home and didnt' even know I had it for 2 weeks. Though I swear my MA told me I had to call the number to activate it when she was showing me the ESN number, which means she didnt' do it. Strange...

2011 MCS Sirius ESN Radio ID

Scottjays,

I also have a 2011 Mini Cooper and found that strobeyprobey's idea worked:

Press and hold the SAT button until "call sirius" and "Phone: 1-888-539-SIRUS" is displayed. Use right hand side rotary **** of radio to scroll down and display "ESN:" of Sirius receiver.

You have to first get into the satellite radio mode, then press and hold the SAT button that you normally press to toggle between preset stations 1-6 vs. 7-12. I think you may have been trying to press and hold the SAT selection button that takes you into SAT radio mode, rather than the one I just alluded to. I think it should work, because I believe that all 2011 Mini's use the same basic radio configuration. Like you, I just have the basic radio/CD/iPOD connections (not the mini-connected).
