What is a cheap n easy iPhone/iPod/iPad install for R52 Cab?
Hi all,
Okay, so I had aspirations of becoming a gear head, doing my own work on my beloved Mini....a few years have passed, I still have the aspirations, but finally accept that I don't have the time to match the aspirations.
I can't bear to go another summer with the same 20th century CDs! Please help me wade through the tons of options for iPhone/iPod/iPad jacks. I have a 2005 cab R52 with a Euro parcel shelf. I currently have an iPhone 3G and 1st generation iPad. I will likely switch phones to android something or other in a few months, but maybe not-not sure it matters, but I could just get an iPod at that point.
I'm gonna have the mechanic do it, so please suggest something that will be cheap....I'd also be grateful for vendor recommendations.
Thanks in advance!

I solved the problem for our R52 at Radio Shack with an iPod nano and the RS Gigaware universal FM transmitter. Now we've got hours and hours of That Old Time Rock and Roll and the best the Blues has to offer.
