Navigation DVD, User car dealer told me it would be $100

So, I just got my 2008 Mini Cooper S today, and I he gave me a pretty good discount because the cat was gutted ($700 to fix that at mini) and it didn't have the Nav DVD ($100 to buy the DVD at mini.) I find it hard to believe that you would even have to pay for the navigation DVD.

Kind of hard to search through forums, so I'm just looking for a straight answer. Do I really need to go to mini and pay that much for the DVD, or can I just download it from my computer and put it into my car?

edit: just realized wrong gen forum

New cars with Nav include the DVD. A used car without the DVD, that's really up to the seller and buyer to negotiate. If the seller is a MINI dealer, I think they should have planned to include it and factor it into the selling price.

New Nav DVD's are $200: http://store.minigpsmaps.com. They are offering to split the cost with you. You might find older used DVDs on eBay for more reasonable prices.
