iPad support via MINI Connect?

The dealer told me iPad's are not supported with MINI Connect.

Has anyone had any luck with this? I have a BlackBerry so no iPhone. Can't because of work reasons. I do however have an iPad with 3G.

MINI Connected ONLY supports iPhone3GS and iPhone4. At this time there is NO iPad support.

MINI Connected and iPad

One of my first Countryman deliveries was to a customer that used an iPad.
He returned to demonstrate how the iPad worked with MINI Connected at our MINI party to debut the Countryman. He is on the forum so hopefully he will post some helpful tips. I have not heard of any compatibility problems. You will need an internet connection.

The manual doesn't say the iTouch would work either, but it does. Since they are all iOS, I wouldn't think there would be much of an issues. I'm able to play movies and also full play list options.

I finally got a few minutes to try out the iPad through the Mini Connect and I can get audio when trying to watch a video, but not actual video.

I didn't have any music loaded so that will be the next attempt time permitting.

For anyone still following this thread, I finally signed up for 3G service and got pandora to connect from my iPad2 throughout the Mini connect and display on the dash screen , all features work like browsing my preset stations, song skipping and thumbs up or down.
