2007 MCS Blue Tooth Problems

Ok first of all new to the forums so hello to everyone! Second, I searched for the last 3 days before I posted this so be easy on me. Third I just picked up my 2007 Mini Cooper S 6 speed last week, this is my 30th car and so far my favorite!

Problem:
I have the hand controlls and seems like everything needed for bluetooth however when I click through the screen on my radio (non Nav) I dont see the option for phone all I see is Aux, CD, Radio.
Do I need to purchase a bluetooth harness or package? Just didnt seem right as it has all the controlls but my iphone 4 cant detect anything as well as nothing to search for on the dash.

I appreciate the help and look forward to learning more about this car!
Thank you,
Ryan

It's possible to have the multi-function steering wheel without the Bluetooth module, it sounds like that's the case.

The OEM kit is steep, especially so if you don't have the Nav to help make it worth the price. Most people seem to go for one of the kits at NewMiniStuff.

You do not have BT. My 2009 is the same way. My MA even told me it had BT but when I went out and tried to program my phone it was no there int he radio options, but I too have the MFSW buttons.

When getting a car with Cruise control they put in the MFSW and they only have one MFSW so all the controls are there even though they may not work. So in the OP's case most likely they have Cruise but not Bluetooth.

The other side of the coin is if you have Bluetooth and do not order cruise control all the button for cruise will be there but just not function.
