Hey guys, I've had the same infinity basslink for about 4 years now and noticed that it it was beginning to work sporadically about 4 months ago. Now every once in a while it works, but only when going over a large bump or something, when it does make a bit of sound, its mostly an incoherent rumbling, and other times it will kick in and hit much harder than the music for a second or so then fade out completely. I have no idea if it might be the power wiring or the signal wiring? Just so everyone knows, I bought a new basslink tonight and it did not fix the issue so we know that this is not the problem.

It's a wiring problem. Track down where you have it wired into your system and reconnect all wires... remote, power, ground, and speaker leads. You have classic symptoms of a loose connection.

 

CHOMPER.... How did you install your basslink? I have one in a box I was saving for another project but have decided to install it into my C.

I know that the Basslink needs to be calibrated prior to using it. You might need to go back and readjust everything as per the manual. Or try some of the other recommend settings.
