Can anyone tell me which iPod adapter I inherited

Can anyone tell me which iPod adapter I inherited?

I have an '05 R53 with HK with MFSW that I bought used and in my glove box I have a white iPod cable that when I hit the MODE button on my stereo it plays under the CDC mode. My iPod says MINI on it and OK to Disconnect but I cannot select the song. The HK allows me to advance to the next song and also select RND to mix it up, which I have liked that feature but I have no way to select the song i want.

I ask because I would like to add Bluetooth and I want to make sure that the iPod isn't using the same input or anything else that would be a problem simply because I don't know which adapter I have.

Help, thanks in advance!!

Sounds like the OEM MINI adapter. With that option you have six playlists, MINI1, etc. through MINi 5, the last is 'all' (maybe MINI6?), which sounds like what you're getting.
You can add the Aux-in, which allows choice of the song by the ipod, but everything is controlled by the ipod, and it does not charge it.

You have to create the playlists on your ipod. I can't seem to find a manual, but here is a link to a motoringfile review of the product.

Excellent info, I will create those playlists. Thanks again Eric.

Only question left is will this interfere with any of the bluetooth options? I am thinking of a kit like the "Bluetooth MFSW integrated hands free kit - NO display - evo 1st gen"here

Not sure about interoperability - send an email to mikey @ newministuff, he's pretty much the MINI audio god.
