iPhone to mini question

I have been lookin through the forums just to find out what I need to do to get my iPhone connected to my mini.
I have navagation and the steering wheel phone buttons thing..

I want to be able to talk and hear through my car, and POSSIBLE to text, and display contacts and stuff through navagation screen.

Do I need to buy something? because my phone won't find my car right now. I thought I could just connect it without buying anything.

Please help

Well prepare yourself for sticker shock... I went this way and I LOVE it, but let's just say my wife doesn't know how much it cost.

As for texting.. while driving.. not going to go there.

So if I wanted to do this install i would be looking at $850? yikes!! How is the sound quality on both ends of the phone? How long did you spend on your install?

Sound quality is good, but there is not much you can do with the windows down at highway speeds. Roll up the windows and it's fine. If I could want for something in the system, that would be a volume control for calls. Sitting in traffic sometimes is too loud for me and highway with wind noise (sunroof or windows) is annoying.

The install took about 2 hours total, but that was because I didn't know exactly how to take the dash apart. I'm pretty sure that was my first time taking the dash apart.
