Media Connect Question...

So about this Media Connect thingy... I can't seem to find detailed info about the following: Does it allow to control and view song titles from an iPod, through the Mini's sound system?

Any thoughts? (Sorry if it's obvious to some, but I could not get a definitive answer from a Mini sales rep when I asked once.)

Media Connect? Do you mean the newer interface that MINI might introduce on the Countryman, or the iPod connector?

if you mean the iPod connector then it does allow you to control the iPod and ONLY thru the MINI Interface.

but it is a bit buggy imho... sometimes if someone calls you or your mini is having a cold the darn thing refuses to operate normally... so sometimes I travel with no music at all...

It's part of the Convenience Package (in Canada at least). It says: "Optional for all MINI models, the USB audio interface can be used for Bluetooth hands-free telephone kits as well as for iPods, MP3 players and other USB audio devices."

That's all it says.

But oops... I just found this thread: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...iled-info.html

I think it provides pretty much the info I was looking for. Even though this is dated (2008), I'm assuming no major changes to this option were introduced since then...
