Navi...please wait and wait amd wait

I have an 03 MCS with factor navi my battery died and when I installed the new battery the Navi has not come back on. The navi says please wait......... and I wait........ It came on once but the battery was loose and it started the please wait. I took the battery off trying to reset it today I drove around all day and all I get is please wait.... Any thoughts?

Pop the disk out. Then remove the terminal from the battery and let it sit for about 30 min. Hook up the battery again and see if that works. Sounds like you need to force a reboot.

You may also want to have the disk cleaned and also make sure you have the latest firmware installed. my dealer upgraded mine for free in less then 10 Minutes

After I connect the battery put the disk in? Or leave the disk in then disconnect battery? I will check with my dealer on the firmware. Thanks for your help guys.
