I'm in the process of upgrading the radio in my 03 mini S and I neep help with two things.

1.) Is there or isn't there a remote turn-on lead to turn on the amp? I do not want it to go on with the ignition, I want it to turn on when the radio turns on. If it doesn't have one, where can I get an adapter.

2.) I would love someone to post a radio schematic for an 03 mini.

Any links and the such would be greatly appreciated. I already did a ton of searches, and can't seem to come up with anything.

I would be totally shocked if it did not have a remote line. You are talking about the factory unit right?

 

There is a signal that you can use to turn on an external amp. From memory it is pin 15 of the HU.

 

Pin 15 is the battery connection - always live. Pin 13 is the power antenna connection - that would be a good choice.

I definitely did not use pin 13; so I think I used pin 16 - accessory.
