Replacing the Harmon Kardon System?

Ok so I'm sure this will get alot of different opinons but...I am looking to upgrade my sound system from the Harmon Kardon and I was wondering how hard is it to remove it, what tools I would need, and what are the best speakers/sub to replace it with.

My Car: 07 mini s, pepper white, with the Harmon Kardon

You actually have the older HiFi system (the Harman Kardon upgrade didn't start shipping until '09). There are threads on the topic. Do an advanced search for "hifi" in titles only.

When I saw this thread title, I thoght it was a funny joke. Someone with a brand new H.K. looking to upgrade, even though they currently have the sound system many people would kill to have!
