USB dead ?

I just picked up a new 2010 Clubman S. All of a sudden the "iPod"
will not appear for the iPhone integration. (it worked flawlessly the
first week). I'm using the special cord supplied by the dealer. Now all
I see when the phone is plugged in is RADIO, CD, USB and AUX. No iPod option like I used to have.
I have since tryed a USB stick with a few songs on it and when I pressed USB it reads "empty". The USB thumb drives have little LED lights on them. Absolutely no light when pluggeg into the USB on the Mini. I'm 1.5 hours from the dealer.
Any suggestions ? Could it be a fuse ?

btw-love the car. Coming from a Hummer H3 !

I had the same problem, identical symptoms on my 2010 MCS with HK radio. Took the iPOD inside for a sync with iTunes. Next morning I tried both iPOD and USB stick, and the mini recognized both devices.

Does not appear to be connection or power problem in my case. Hope this is just a SW glitch that we do not see again....
