04 MCS with H/K questions.

I'm getting ready to start building a system for my 04 MCS and I have a few questions. I searched through the forum but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm replacing the factory HU with a Pioneer HU and was curious as to whether or not I need to bypass the factory amp. Also can I keep my steering wheel controls? If so what wiring harness do I need to buy? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

No need to bypass the amp and you can keep the controls. You need an hk enabler You can get this at www.newministuff.com. Shoot Mikey an e-mail about the HU and he can tell you more about the controls. I believe that he has adapters for that as well.
