I have a 5G iPod Nano plugged in full-time.. unless I'm on a long run of some kind, then I plug in my iPhone 3GS. Both of them charge properly for whatever reason.. recent (Week 44) 2010 build.
Not particularly concerned about the extra weight.
iPod 5g (4 years old, going strong) using a dock connector (not headphone jack) and it sits in the tray under the ebrake. Works great, sounds just fine (to me).
Slacker Radio or Pandora or the iPod from my iPhone 3Gs. Tried using an XM Skydock but could never get rid of the electrical interference noise. Happened with the line in or with the FM. Any ways, I get comedy and music from Slacker Radio and sounds good for the long Commutes.
