Nav issue

About a 8 or so times in the last month my nav system has said "Please insert disk" (or something to that effecdt)... even through the disk was in. If I eject the nav disk, and put it back in, then it worked fine. After a year with no issues, this just seems strange. Anyone else? I also had the entire head unit "reboot" today as I was driving down the road. Was listening to the Ipod and I noticed the onscreen playtime was frozen. About thirty seconds later, the screen went blank, then the rebooted with the mini logo. Never had that happen before either.

Update: It's finally time to take it in - have been waiting for the miles to tick down to the first full service. The Nav issue is now much worse. The Nav will only work for about 5min until it gets the "Please insert Disk" or "unable to read disk" error messages. Pretty much unusable. It has to be an issue with the DVD reader, but it is now for the tech to figure out.

Brother-
What did you find out on this? My wife's 2007 just passed 50k and it started doing this (Please Insert Disk). Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Any update on this issue,
I started to have this problem a few weeks ago. I have noticed that the navigation will begin working after a few moments without doing anything.
Any updates would be appreciated.

update to the issue with my wife's car - she put in her old 2007 disks (she had purchased new 2009 disks) and the problem went away. I've got to assume that the disks were scratched or something. She's planning on getting new 2011 disks early next year. She travels for her job, so needs current maps.
