I want to install an Alpine ida-x305 in my 05 mini s with harman kardon system. is this possible? should i bypass the amp.? I am new at this.. also will a prof. installer be able to do this easily and correctly.. thanks for any help

the links are mostly about upgrading speakers, but if you scroll down there are a couple posts about what you need to get an aftermarket HU to work. Either with the HK amp or replacing it.

Sorry I can't be more help, I've only got the non-H/K system but I'm waiting on my ida-x305 to be delivered tomorrow.
