Sub wires

I have a set of 12 inchers and an amp and in trying to set it up today I was at a loss on how to get signal to them. The housing for the rear 6x9 wont come off. I have the Hi-Fi 10 Speaker system. Any easier way to get a signal than spend all day taking apart my panels?

You don't want to use the 6x9 speaker signals after the HIFI amp because they have a high-pass filter and don't get much below 100 Hz.

Go for the X9331 connector. The best way to do it is to spend the money on the X9331 connector parts and make a pass-through connector. It will take awhile to get the parts, though. Not going to get it done this week.

Really? That sucks
How do I go about getting a X9331 connector. How much am I looking at price wise? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a system.

There are a number of threads about the X9331 connector with part numbers and costs. If you don't want to buy the parts, you can pull the pins and solder wires to them. Makes it difficult to take it back to stock, though.

The channels swap thread has good info on how to access the X9331 connector.

I don't have the drawings in front of me...but the signal from the X9331 must go to the amp in the back so you could tap the signal from the head unit at the amp as well. That would be way easier since it is behind the access door in the left side of the trunk. Also, be aware the signal is amplified (it is not line-level) from the head unit.

Also, the rear 6x9 covers do not come off. The entire panel starting with the rear seats and boot need to be removed first.
