Is anyone using a non-Mini XM or Siris radio

I have a 2009 JCW that my dealer told me is not set-up for the Mini Sirius radio. I do have a brand new XM radio that came complete with it' own antenna Etc. It plugs into the lighter socket and plays through a channel set on a regular car radio.
Does anyone out there use something like this?
Any information how good or bad rhese things work would be nice to hear.

Sure, a great many of us are using 'portable' Satellite Receivers playing through the MINI's Aux Port and they work great.

CD-Int sells a MINI Cooper antenna cable to connect your portable through your MINI's Satellite Antenna lead hidden under the seat.

Many threads on doing this and eliminating the portable antenna can be found here or Google.
