How to fix door lock pin...

When removing the door panel during '09 front speaker install I knocked off/jarred loose the lock pin mechanism. The locks are still functioning though I can feel the pin is no longer attached to anything. It does not move up or down when locking or unlocking the doors.

I have searched many forums and even tried disassembling most of the door trying to fix this. I could not seem to repair this myself or even get to a point where I can tell if it was broken or just slipped out.

Anyone come across this before and fix it? Anyone ever have this happen and get the dealer to fix? If so, what was the cost?
