The Ingredients: '07MCS HiFi, Polk EX3550 and Audison LRx2 amp

Leftovers from ideas / dreams / projects long forgotten.

My MCS HiFi stereo is stock.

I have a new Audison LRx2 250 amp. The specs are: A double bypass Hi/Lo-Pass Butterworth crossover for driving multiamplified or subwoofer systems.
RMS Output 2 x 120 Watts @ 4 Ohms
RMS Output 1 x 420 Watts @ 4 Ohms
2 Ohm Stable
Bridgeable 2 / 1 Channel Output
High Pass Crossover
Low Pass Crossover
RCA Input

I also have a new set of Polk EX3550 5 1/4" components . The link goes to the specs; the mid/woofer is 5 1/4" (13.34cm) and the tweeter is 1" (2.54cm).

I'm looking for better audio quality than what the factory delivers.

My first question is simply can these components be used in the MINI without requiring an engineering degree and a high tolerance for pain?

So far, I'm finding it very difficult to run wires into the doors. Haven't succeeded yet. Running power to the amp was not quite so difficult, but does require removing a number of panels.

Your speakers might be a bit small for the lower door location.
