I'm set to install the usaspec pa12 ipod adapter into my 05 cabrio with the non-hk radio. I've got a couple of questions if anyone has the answers, I'd appreciate it. First off, the manual says there is a factory installed prewire to which I'm supposed to connect the pa12's wiring. This is supposedly the prewire for the multidisc cd player option. The manual states that the prewire is locted in the right rear trunk quarter panel. Anyone have any idea where this might be in a cabrio?
Second, years ago, I installed a simple aux cable that seemed to slip right into an open slot on the back of the radio. Is this where the pa12 cable is supposed to go? Ideally not, since I'd like to keep the option of having an aux jack plus the ipod adapter.

The bottom line here is that before I open up the center stack to install the usaspec ipod adapter, I want to make sure I can plug it in, meaning I need to know if that prewire from the factory is there for me to use to plug in to.

Any insights are most welcome.

So, yeah, I eventually found it. Had to pull out pretty much all the formed plastic/fuzzy paneling in there to find it... but I found it. Since you don't have a cabrio, it should be much easier...

There are other threads that describe this issue, but I seem to recall that the earlier models weren't prewired like this.. I may be totally wrong. Check it out.
