Factory Nav wish list

Without beating a dead horse on issues like price, POI searches, etc., what upgrades would you like to see in the factory Nav?

My wishes:

1. Weather radar

2. Optional tourist DVDs for select cities/areas. Sell or rent DVDs which work like a standard nav disc for 100 miles around a city. Leave off the rest of the country's mapping and POI info to free up room for guided tours with experts lecturing on local scenery. "Out your left hand window, You'll see..."

3. Optional screens displaying all information that can be provided. Coolant temp, oil temp, GPS MPH, Compass, turbo boost, etc. If the car measures it, we should be able to see it without paying for added gauges if we have a video screen.

4. Ability to drop "breadcrumbs" on a route. Some navs do this if you're offroad, but I'd like to do it to see if I've completely toured an area while on road.

5. I've got more, but this is my start.

Nav screen could connect to laptop computer mounted in trunk or under seat. Add a bluetooth keyboard, and you'd be ready to go.

Easily my top wish by far is that in 2D map view, street names should be drawn along the angle of the street, not all horizontal. It was like that in the 1st gen Nav and is a big step backwards in the 2nd gen.

Here's an image from my R52. Imagine trying to figure out which name goes with which line, if all the names were horizontal.

It's possible with aftermarket components, although expensive: http://www.newministuff.com/new/shop...roducts&cat=37

Yup, all the things that a ScanGaugeII can display, plus g-force for cornering, braking, and acceleration. I'd also want oil temp and pressure, but they don't seem to be available in the OBDII.

I like your other suggestions as well.

Here's a tougher one: I'd like to pair or link another gps device, or cell phone, and track it on my gps map. Good for multiple cars traveling together.

A map that can actually be read would be nice.

Besides that touch screen keyboard entry and address entry by postal code would be extremely convenient.
