Factory installed Bluetooth

Does anyone have info on the factory installed bluetooth. I have a 2006 cooper s w/ nav and HK stereo. How can I get bluetooth installed on the car. Is there a factory one that integrates with the nav? If so does anyone have pictures?

Luna, I just did this setup with my 06 with help from folks here in the fourms. Go here and check it out. http://www.bimmernav.com/mini.html I have both the HK and factory Nav and it works GREAT! I also did the intravee II iPod intergration as well. It was expensive, but I love it. Oh I did the install myself and getting the dash cover off was difficult to say the least, but I got it done. It all works with my MFSW buttons. They have the pics on the bimmernav site to show you how it all works.

Hey AK,
Thanks for the link. I looks like a hopefull product, I had some questions maybe you could answer.

How is the sound quality for both ends? Is it pretty loud on the mini side when you call someone? I am really interested in getting this, looks like a great product especially the voice commands. Do those voice commands work well with the nav and phone options? Also did u take pictures when installing and how long did it take you to do the install?

Luna, The call quality so far even with the sunroof open has not received any complaints from the callers (my wife being the most critical). As for the volume, you can control that via the MFSW volume control or the head unit. Voice commands work well and I use my nav in split screen so the incoming call does not interfere with my navigation only the voice is muted. I didn't take any photos of the install because it was late and I wanted to get it over with. I should have waited for a weekend when I didn't have to go anywhere, but alas I was a kid in a candy store. Overall it took me about 4.5 hours to do the install, but that was because I had to stop a few times to google and figure out how to get the dashpad off (by far the hardest part of the install). If you can justify the 850 bucks, I would go for this option, since all the mini/bmw shops kept telling me I wouldn't be able to use my MSFW and nav with the kit they were going to sell me for 1100. I can send you some pics of the post install if you like on how it works with your nav and MSFW.

I'll take some photos tonight and maybe a quick vid and post them for you later today. Yes my 395 contacts from my blackberry are searchable from the nav screen in the car as well. But you do have to set/save voice tags to the items you want to use the voice commands to. Not really a big deal, just wanted you to be aware. It also has the ability to read SMS messages on the nav screen, but I don't do SMS so I can't say if it works or not.

the maps are stored on the DVD or cd (depending on the model) in the navigation computer, underneath the passenger side seat.
