Satellite Radio Setup
for those of you wondering....
I just got a 2009 MCS. I plugged my Sirius Sportster 4 into the cigarette lighter for power and it auto turns on/off with car power. I noticed in some other threads that people were tapping into other circuits for power.
Maybe this is a new feature in the 09.

Yes, cig liter plug goes dead when ignition is off, however your HiFi can be turned back on after ignition is off (and key/fob removed) and will run for thirty minutes til it times out and powers off.
If you would want your Sirius to do the same, you can take power from a 30G Circuit and keep it powered on the same type timed circuit.
I used the Buss Fuses Mini Add-A-Line Accessory from Advance Auto Parts for about $7 connected to F10 fuse location.

I'm sure there are a lot of ground choices, I just soldered my ground lead (had the cig plug inside the fuse panel compartment) to the sheet metal located just forward of fuse panel.
My 100 Watt Solder Gun had plenty of heat to flow some solder on the metal and this worked perfectly.
Tired of cig plugs that work their way loose, so I also soldered leads directly to the (+) and (-) of the cig male plug.
Since this was the cigarette lighter plug that came with my Delphi Auto Kit, it had plenty of lead with an angle plug to connect to the Delphi holder.
A word of caution, the output stereo mini jack cord had straight plugs, this put enough load to break free the stereo jack inside the Delphi. After re-soldering the jack to the greenboard inside the Delphi, I got two angle adapters (could not find stereo cable with angle plugs) to relieve any side loads on both jacks (Delphi, as well as the MINI's Aux Jack).
