09 MCS iPod integration question

I have an 09 MCS with aux input but no usb input. Is there an integration kit that will allow my to control my iPod using the MF steering wheel/stereo faceplate and also display song titles etc..?

I currently have a Dice Electronics iPod adapter from my former 03 MC. It was connected through the cd changer in the trunk and I was able to control volume and change songs through the MF steering wheel. It worked great! Hoping to find something similar. Apparently this adapter is not compatible with the '09 models as the connections in the boot are different than the '03.

i thought all the 08+ MINIs came with the USB adapter... I was pissed that I got a late 07 build. Apparently, though, I got lucky because my little cubby hole/extra glove box opens and some people's don't. British cars... and people wonder why Leyland went under!!

The usb input only comes with the convenience package. Aux input is now standard I believe.

The CD changer would now be located in the secret compartment if you had one. So what Mini has done is to produce a connection that goes in the glove box and attaches to the radio system so that you can control the iPod. It is called the "iPod Adapter" and is on the last page of the build utility at Mini.com. Cost is $330.

You can get it as a $500 option as well (skipping the Convenience package), but it's a factory option that I don't think you can add afterwards (easily, anyway).

[Edit] And then I read Schtazy's post I'd completely forgotten it, if you don't want bluetooth you don't need the 500 option I mentioned.

The iPod integration option that was offered on the 07s also ties into the CD changer controls like your Dice did. It was pricey and limited your menu selections to 256 artists or albums or playlists for some unknown reason. I lot of people didn't like it. Buyer beware on this item.
