Navigation & Audio New Amp
New Amp
Folks,
After much thought, I decided to augment my aftermarket install. This morning, my "just-a-cooper" start out with Focal 165 KPS speakers in the front, Focal Access 10 inch sub in the boot, an Alpine PDX 4.150 amp for power, all integrated with an Alpine PXE-H650. This system sounded really good.
Today, I added a Tru Technology Billet 2110 amp for the fronts and kept the PDX to power the sub. In short, this took my system to a new level. The difference between the PDX and the Tru is hard to believe. Fullness, imaging, staging, delicacy of nuance, and clarity all increased dramatically. I understand that the Tru still needs to "burn-in" so I expect the sound to improve further.
My reason for posting here is to encourage those that may be on the fence for an amp upgrade. The Tru is definitely worth every penny. Just do it!!
Regards.
