Iphone integration after delivery

I just ordered a 2009 MCS and am waiting for it's arrival. I didn't add on the usb/ipod adapter b/c my MA told me my Iphone 3g won't be compatible, but I'm reading a lot of things in the forums that say otherwise. So is it possible to integrate my Iphone to the Mini's multifunction steer wheel and navigation screen after the car's been built and delivered? How much would that cost?

The USB port is integrated with a bunch of other electronic components, which makes for a pretty hefty parts bill. The question comes up pretty regularly, and so far I'm not aware of anyone that's tried it. The parts estimate usually ends up in the $1000 range.

An aftermarket addition is a little less painful, there's the mObridge system, which is still a going to be pricey, but would have nearly all the stock functionality, and there's other cheap options.

But, you can always use the AUX adapter, which doesn't sound so bad after checking your wallet

You may want to check with you MA and see if you still have time to change the order.

IF you have the USB option then you will at least be able to use the USB connection for Music. The problem is the Charging side of it does not seem to work. There are many people trying to figure out why and someone will come up with an answer at some point.

As for the Bluetooh portion using the phoen thur the MFSW controls and dash this should not be a problem.

But as nicknbecka said ther are also other options. They just need wiring in after you get teh car. Although it may not be hard it can be very time consuming.

I already checked the tracker and the car has been built and awaiting transport, so I guess I'll just have to figure out an aftermarket solution and just pick one. Thanks for the help!

iPhone 3G does not charge on my 07. has the kit been changed since then? For those that are stuck like me, there is this little gadget.
