amp harness sources

I'm not a big fan of splicing wires myself, and even less of a fan of installers doing it. I see newministuff has a harness for installing aftermarket amps. It seems expensive, will take a while to ship, and requires ripping apart the dashboard. Are there any harnesses available cheaper, sooner, or that are easier?

It seems hooking into x9331 would be ideal....

I have an 08 Clubman S and have located the amplifier in the rear right quarter but I cannot find the left and right input wires to the amp.
I just installed Infinity 6" components in the front doors and Infinity 6 x 9's in the rear door / panel and a 10" sub in the spare tire area. All off an Alpine 4 x 50W amp. Sounds amazing !!!

The problem is, I'm running off an external Ipod only.

Can anyone help me with the inputs to the factory amp? I don't really care about fader control.

The WDS website is your friend -- there you can get the details on the inputs to the amp, which is X10266.

Also take a look at the speaker swap thread (more like a rope than a thread) -- many details there.

It would be a great help if you told us what version of the stereo system you have.

1. Standard system does not have any wires going to the rear of the car. Only to speaker locations.

2. The HiFi system has a amp and wiring harness going to the Passanger side rear quarter so the speaker level inputs to the amplifier can be picked up there if needed.

As k6rtm said check out the wiring diagram.

A18 Amplifier at WDS

I went on that site but I cannot view the wiring diagrams. I get an icon with a circle and a square inside.[

You need the SVG plugin, available from the Adobe site
