Hi all
Is there a way to add the stock gps if i do not have it installed at the purchase of my clubman ?
How much does it cost to add it ?
Thanks !
Nothing is impossible but you are looking at around $7000.00 minimum to have it installed. There are about 18 items that need to be installed that are not in the car if you did not order it from the factory then there are other pieces that are in the car but are not the correct ones, i.e. center console plastics. Plastics around the gear shift, wiring harnesses etc.
Unfortunately you will probably find that most dealer ships would not take on such a task. It is just to much work and they would be tying up space in the shop. Also it would probably take a good 40+ hours of time.
It would probably be more reliable, cheaper, and less of a hassle to sell the car and reorder a new one with Nav. Another way to go is get a Nuvi 5000 [large screen for about 400 dollars] and a Kuda mount and have it hard wired to the car. Endless threads about this so we don't need to rehash it again here
