Aux port/DICE-HD

Question, the Outmotoring site (here) says that you can't install the Aux port if you have the CD changer installed. Why is that? The CD changer plugs into the wiring harness in the Boot (Where my DICE plugs in)

Can the DICE unit coexist with the aux port?

Reason I ask is that I'm highly disappointed in how the DICE unit works with the iPhone. Screen becomes unusable for music navigation, where as my old Nano iPod worked fine. Can't decided whether to leave the DICE in (just because I doubt I'll get much for it if I try to sell it) and because it still works as an HD radio receiver (that is if I ever install an antenna).

Thinking of buying and installing an Aux port and Kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe Car Kit to support the iPhone.

Anyone know how mp3 sound quality compares between aux port and DICE through the CD changer harness?

Thanks

Why not just use the Aux port on the DICE?

Didn't realize it had an aux port. That could solve a lot

I'm actually using the AUX on my DiCE for my Car Computer.

I had my dice for so many years, I needed to go and look up the manual for the settings on the AUX, here is what you will need to know:

To use AUX, go to Disc 5, change to track 2. Display should show AUX
To adjust EQ levels, use Discs 2,3, and 4 (Will show Bas Mid Tre on display)
AUX Volume adjustment is Disc 1

Have fun!

Outmotoring is wrong. Aux port and CD changer plug into different connectors on the head unit.
