Kuda Mounted Nuvi 350 falling off the docking cradle

Hi, I bought the Kuda mount and installed it in my Mini but now when I hit a bump or something, the Nuvi 350 falls off the docking cradle. The Kuda Mount and the Garmin Ball are fine, but the actual GPS unit doesn't look like its clicking in properly...since it keeps falling off.
Has anyone else had this type of problem?

Never had any problem with our 350 or 660 coming loose from their cradles. The only thing I can think to check is that there's no dirt or debris in the notch in the back of the GPS that engages with the cradle.

If you put the GPS in the cradle, does it "click" into place? Can you easily pull it back out of the cradle without pressing the release tab? If you can, it sound's like there's something wrong with the cradle.

It clicks in lightly but it doesn't SNAP in firmly. And its SUPER easy to take off the cradle. Its new out of the box so I don't think its dirty.

My 660 doesn't come off the cradle unless I press the top cradle release button. If it's not dirt in their, maybe some thing is broken. Check the GPS and the mount to see if part of an edge has broken away.

That is odd. I guess it's different than the Garmin 660 mount.

You might try an Arkon mount. I've tested a few of them and they are very well made and stable.

The 660 and the 350 use the same attachment scheme between the GPS and the Garmin bracket. There are two recessed slots in the GPS - one on the bottom edge and one in the middle of the back (the slot with the electrical connections in it).

To snap it into the mount, you align the bottom slot with the corresponding tab in the mount, and then tilt the GPS away from you until the slot on the back of the GPS engages the tab in the mount that has the electrical connections. At that point, it should be pretty much impossible to remove the GPS from the mount until you press upward on the spring-loaded catch on the bottom of the mount.

All of this is independent of how you're actually mounting the GPS assembly into the car, whether you have the Kuda mount, the Pro-Clip, or another brand, because I think they all use the mounting bracket that came with the nuvi.

If there's no foreign material stuck in either of the slots, the only other two things I can think of is that the spring-loaded release tab in the mount is sticking in the "release" position, or you're trying to stick the GPS into the mount by pressing it straight in, rather than engaging the bottom slot first and then tilting the GPS away from you to engage the second slot.
