Trouble Syncing T-Mobile Dash to Bluetooth

I've got an '07 Cooper S with Bluetooth. Had no problem syncing the the iPhone to the car, but for some reason I can't get my T-Mobile Dash to link.

I saw that this phone was on the list of "working" phones. And I know that the bluetooth feature on the phone works because I have it linked to my wife's Acura MDX.

I have followed the steps in the manual. I search for the pairing, then enter a code on the phone, followed by entering that same code in the car.

Then, my phone makes the connection and is ready to go. The display on the car says that the connection is active, and the 3 little dots keep blinking (...). After that, nothing happens. It doesn't show that my phone is connected.

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

I have a new '08 MCS and had no trouble syncing my Dash. Have you tried to unsync and re-sync?

Are you using a four digit PIN for pairing? Some people have had problems pairing phones when using a shorter or longer one.

Also, don't know if there's a firmware or software update for the Dash, but that might help too.

Yeah, had been using 0000 as my pin. Also, I have the most recent updates on the Dash, so no dice on that part. Guess I will either just keep trying, or go take the car to the dealership and admit defeat.

I guess interference is a possibility- kind of remote though. You've probaly tried leaving it for a long time.
