HD radio in Los Angeles?

For those who live in L.A. and have the HD radio option --

How many HD stations do you get? How often do you listen to the HD stations? Are you glad you sprung for the $500 HD option?

I'm getting ready to order a 2009 R56 -- waiting until the Dec 08 build which includes the new Sport package with DTC -- and I'm wondering whether I'd get my money's worth out of the HD option. I have Sirius now in my STi and use it all the time but even on Sirius, sometimes there's just not much on.

Don't live in LA but check out http://www.hdradio.com/#stationGuideWidgetry

At lease you will have an idea of what radio stations are broadcasting in HD.

Thanks! The HDRadio.com site claims L.A. has at least 40 HD stations. What I'm hoping to hear about is people's actual experience using HD radio in LA, including how many stations people actually receive, the stations' sound quality and how valuable they find it. Anyone?

Again I don't live in LA but in Boston and we have a fair number of HD radio stations. I used to have an HD Radio Reciever for my house but sold it as I found that there was some difference but not enough to even get close to "CD Quality" as they claim.

Also i find that there is so much road and wind noise in the car that it degrades the sound of the other sources enough that i don't bother with the higher quality sources. So for me it was a spend the extra money on something else.

Just my .02 cents
