radio access shortcut?

I'm adding an aux input on my 2004 MCS. Are there any shortcuts for getting to the radio rear/plugs? I have the service manual and it looks like the console has to be removed to gain access.

When I installed the AUX input on Artoo (2003MCS) I was able to plug in the connector without removing the radio by simply reaching behind. It was a while ago but I am sure there is a thread describing the process if you do a search.

The bottom line is that it is a simple job and does not require removal of the radio.

I searched. I'll take your word for it though. Thanks for the help.
