Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to setup the Harman Kardon unit in a 2004 MCS to tune on frequencies with even decimals (eg 102.2, 102.4, etc) in addition to odd decimals (eg 102.1, 102.3, etc ).
I believe that's part of some regional setting (US vs Europe, for example) but I'm not sure if that's something that can be changed or it's "hardcoded" into the radio unit.

It can be changed....

Get in the car and turn the radio on (Do not press any other buttons.). Press and hold the "m" button for about 5 - 10 seconds and the service menu will come up. Use the + and - buttons to navigate until you see one that has "USA" on it and then use the numbers keys to change it to Europe. Turn the radio off to save. Once you turn it back on all will be good.

 

It worked exactly as you described it, thanks a million. For the record, the regional setting is called "AREA" and has "USA", "EUROPE" and other possible values. Thank you again.

 

I am wondering is there any solutions for modern cars like F55 ? Where no button "m" exist...(
