Ok, so I leased my 2008 Mini Cooper about a month ago. I'm scared to get Sirius installed anywhere other than Mini cuz I've heard that it could potentially void the warranty. Wondering if Mini will still be able to install it now?...or is it too late?

 

Yes they can install it, I had mine installed at the factory for 1000 dollars. When I ordered they told me that they could do it for 750, if I recall. The 1000 dollars factory install was for lifetime service. The 750 install was for 1 free year. I did the math for my 3 year lease and it would be cheaper over time for the 1000 dollar one.

The dealer can only install the Sirius unit in the car due to programing. I paid 600 to have them install it in my car with nav. They didn't charge for the shop time since they said the car had it when they sold it to me. Turns out it didn't and I had to pay out of pocket for the parts.
