Best source of 12V Acc. wire in trunk?

Sorry if this has been discussed.....did a search of this forum without any results.

I'm looking to find a 12V DC Accessory power source in the trunk (I'd like to avoid running the wire all the way up to the fuse box if possible). Any suggestions? I have the hi-fi stereo system so I thought that perhaps the amp had one that I could splice into.

Is the lighter on accessory power or is it constant? Is it 12V or 6V like someone ran into when installing their Nuvi up front?

Thanks Guys

Ooops....spelled 'accessory' wrong when I did the search. Found this: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ight=accessory

Still interested in hearing whether people think there are other (better?) options for acc. power.

The 12 volt accessory socket in the rear is hooked to the same circuit as the accessory socket up front -- and both of them I believe share a 15 amp fuse.

That 12 volt circuit powers up and down with the engine. Start the engine, it comes up. Turn off the engine, it goes away.

The HiFi amp has a separate circuit, but I haven't investigated that as I don't have HiFi (and didn't spot high current wiring in the right rear pocket) so I don't know how that's switched.

I just went and tested the rear cig lighter (acc. socket) and it was showing 12V even when the car was shut off and no key in the ignition.....which surprised me? It's not a constant is it?

(sorry...I'm still a bit of a newb when it comes to car electronics)
