Navigation & Audio Is NAV a must-have option
I was looking at my local newspaper, which covers several relatively low crime neighborhoods here in West County, St. Louis. Out of 14 items in the police briefs section, 4 were for stolen portable GPS units. I hate having my car broken into, and don't want to do anything to encourage it. For me, no more aftermarket stereos, radar detectors, or other portable electronics. I've had them stolen from my trunk, glovebox, and from under a seat.
Aside from that, just the way the Nav looks in the dash makes it worth much of it's price.

Looking at the vehicle inquiry for my build, I'm noticing both 6NE (part of ZCV - Convenience Package) as well as the 6NF option. It seems to me 6NF supplements 6NE.
Correct. It is now on the site and needs the 6NE Option.
Now after 2 weeks of ownership of my new MINI, I have to say the Navigator is my favorite option... well, the comfort access is right up there too. Worth every penny for me and I will never own another car without a built in NAV. System.
I was on the fence about getting it and at first decided that I could live without it. But after reading this thread, it pushed me over and I just went down and changed my order to include NAV (production week #40). I know that I would get better true navigation from my Garmin 760, but just don't like carrying a bunch of crap around with me when I park so built in is a big plus. Also like the integration to other car features - iPod, BT, etc...

I know I am in the minority here, but I do not like NAV, I spent years driving around the California (SF, LA, SD). I am rarely ever lost and I just use the iPhone when I need to find something. For me it was not worth it for something I would not use, since I almost always know where I am going. I like the look of it, but could not justify it for 2k for something to show my iPod songs larger than the stock stereo.

without the nav. I would have spent the money but like the cleaner look of the dash better.
